izip ezgo for £150 start on ebay

Hi there I have noticed in Ebay a 2008 ezgo ebike, the seller says that the brakes don't cut out the motor anymore as the leads have come out of the brake levers, but otherwise ok, and with a new battery. Would this be an easy job to fix, could I likely use generic ebrake levers, if I couldn't get izip ones? If so I'm tempted to bid. Thanks, comments welcome.
