Eddie0 has relayed this link to me of a very stealthy German e-bike with some unusual features, like the thin tubular in-frame 33 volt 10.2 Ah battery:

That is the ultimate looking stealth ebike , I was wondering where the battery pack was located until further scrolling down I had realised that they were hidden in the down frame, the next task is the hiding of the motor. flecc, you nearly had me fooled on this one, but I do like it.

Loved the translation "At various treacherous terrains can easily go through with the help of his stable operation. It is your ideal horse, which you submit to the mountain forests."

Now that would be stealthy - pantomime costume anyone?

It was Google translate of course! The original German was probably in the sense of steed, rather than horse.

Looks like it'd be a very good off-road hardtail - for functionality the design doing away with mounted batteries is a big plus.

Sadly don't like the colour schemes at all though.

But ... sorry to say it does amuse me somewhat how fixated some people are about hiding the fact they are riding an eBike. If it's on the wrong side of the rating line then I can see some reasoning to keep a low profile but even then it's pretty pointless because in practice it's likely to have little bearing on anything provided ridden like a normal bike.

Otherwise is it some sort of feeling of embarassment driving the desire to hide all evidence ?

" CLB 29 inches is suitable for those who have large body size."

I agree, I'm completely happy for everyone to know I'm riding with e-assist, but for those who aren't this does seem a near perfect product.

Now here's an idea for for using the Gruber seat-tube motors with those batteries, a twin motor tandem!

good to see wieght of ebikes is coming down,15kg wonder if true:confused:
Definitely true. I rode one in Shanghai. Although I only rode it on the flat, it seemed to have reasonable torque. IIRC, the lightest one in their range was only 11kg. These are more stealthy than the Gruber drives because they're much quieter. You won't kid anyone with the noise from the Gruber.
