When I worked for Avondale caravans, we and Practical Caravan Magazine did some tests on deep discharging a range of leisure batteries. The cheapest ones did about 3 discharges before they lost 50% of their capacity. the most expensive ones did about 20. the lower the depth of discharge, the more cycles you could get, so even the cheap ones could do 100s of cycles if you only went down 10%.
Basically, you could abuse the higher spec batteries a lot more than the cheap ones, but the life of all of the batteries decreased exponentially (inverse function) the deeper the discharge.
As a general rule, you should never go below 50%.
