The problem with it that I see, is the front angles more upwards, at every jolt.
Directly in an area (where all men are a bit differently sensitive), but one has to be careful. Furthermore there is a blood supply and nerves, that some bad saddles already press on "underneath" in our "sitting area", without being sprung....
If the spring could be mounted 180° in the opposite direction, there might even be an extra positive effect, particularly for men, less front pressure on the nerves and pelvic area.
I do not know if women suffer in quite the same way as some men "down there", and whether this spring would be positive or negative for them I really have no idea.
I certainly would not pay out any money for such a unit.
I have had and used the conventional saddle spring shaft, which only goes vertically up and down, when I have had hard tail bikes in the past, with very positive effects.
But I find independent suspension at both the front and rear, to be the most comfortable for me personally. Furthermore, with regard to heavy items on e-bikes such as the owner and a battery, the strain on the frame must be far less with a full suspension.
Its all a matter of taste, but guessing only, I bet this unit is a) far more expensive than the usual saddle spring and b) this might possibly break, after some years use for a heavy rider, with the possibility of severe damage to a very sensitive area.
So I would not trust it either.......
I now see that it costs $59 plus shipping....I could buy several of the tube springs LOCALLY for that and still have a lot of change!!
The Hyper Marketing video also does not appeal either...I personally find that suspect, and more a way to drive up the price, for a simple piece of spring steel and mounting!
But many thanks for bringing it to our notice.
regards
Andy

For similar money you can get a Suntour SP12-NCX seat post.

The seat angle doesn't change and it's damped so it doesn't bounce.
Downside is that it is heavy, but that doesn't really matter on ebikes.

I've had the simple sprung posts in the past and they help a bit - the Suntour is much better and really smooths the ride well.

Yeah...such devices have been around for years in various guises. What would concern me is where is all that energy going that's bouncing you up and down ?
Now if someone could come up with a generator that attached to the spring that would put all those wasted watts back into a battery, well....
