Having decided to start cycling again and buy an electric bike for commuting I turfed an old Halfords £99 special out of the back of the garage for a bit of a ride in the evening to build up my fitness prior to the Mistral arriving.
Well it arrived and I am now commuting a jolly nice 15 mile round trip a day with assistance from the motor.
The evening MTB ride however got longer, muddier and more demanding as I increased the route and the poor Halfords special began to show me why it only cost £99.
So having now got an 8mile mainly off road route on cinder tracks, fields, through a golf course and down what until the other day was a dry stream bed I went and replaced the old MTB with this

It's bleeding fabulous, it was so much fun this evening I rode the 1/4 mile route through the stream three times and came home muddier than I've been in my entire life.
My wifes not too happy although she does seem to appreciate my new found glutes, but that's a whole other website.
Glad I stumble across the Pedelecs which gave me the idea for an electric commuter, it's led into a bit of a lifestyle change.
