There's been many wood bicycles made, and wood can be very strong in this application, especially when laminated. They will be far more comfortable to ride than our very rigid modern alloy frames, though probably more likely to flex laterally. Perhaps best in an e-bike where the rider input can be lower.

It worked for the Mosquito which was one of the very best aircraft of the war so why not a bicycle?

You don't have to spend $4999. This one is 4900W and only costs £1200 second hand. I bet there's never been a bicycle that could match its acceleration. For extreme sports people only, or people that think their arms are too short.

31 mph. It was built for acceleration and hill-climbing. It was like being fired from a catapult up our 14% test hill.

Crikey, I spotted 3 motors and probably a large 30ah pack of lipo's on the back.
Might as well rename it the Carrera Rocket.
Nice.
