Identifying an old electric bike.

Hi, I'm wondering if anybody can help me identify this bike we've had it for nearly 20 years we bought it from a man who's no longer with us, when we bought it he told us that it was made in the 50/60s in Solihull, Birmingham he said it was built to go in the boot of a car and be used as a town bike. We can't find any info on this but would love to find out its history. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
