I wonder....I just wonder..?

I'm hoping that an investigative journalist tells me one of these days that the no longer extant NOTW was tapping my phone and I should file suit.

While I understand that those affected by the phone-hacking affair should be compensated financially for the infringement of their privacy, given the number of minor celebs, inconsequential politicians, cheating footballers and the like whom, it appears, have received payouts, I'd like to think that they all pass on their compensation to deserving causes and there are some of those within the sphere of the investigation. I exclude those from my remarks. It's not as if any of the names I've seen quoted are short of a bob or two!

Certainly, if I ever discover that my phone has been tapped, I'll take whatever I can screw out of them but if I don't appear to have lost out financially as a consequence, I shall have no hesitation in donating all of it to my favourite charities.

Will it cross the minds of those in receipt of compensation for something they were never even aware of at the time to act unselfishly?......mmm!

I vaguely remember one recipient of the recent payments saying they were giving the hacking compensation to charity, but don't recall who that was.

I also have a vague idea that Max Mosely also may have done that with his earlier separate case award.

It's a certainty that most won't though!
