I think it would be a bit gutless. You'd be better off buying a kudos sport or a cyclamatic

I quite like that. Simple with very limited range (I'd estimate 20 miles tops for Mr Average) but for a fitter cyclist who only wants occasional assistance that's an extremely low price. Worth a try, before you buy.

Yeah, the Sport from Kudos or the Cyclamatic from Sports HQ would be a more sensible buy.
Both companies have proven track records for providing decent warranty cover and aftersales service.
Essential when spending a wad of cash on a new bike ;)
