I currently own a Mk1 Ezee Torq, which has gone wrong again. I love the bike and have travelled many miles on it (mainly errands in my local community, not commuting etc). However to be honest, I'm fed up with repairing it.

So the big question is what do I replace it with? My torq is de-restricted, so that is my first issue, can I cope with 15mph?
Second issue is, although I peddle as much as possible, I do like throttle mode, especially when my gout in my big toe is playing up.

So what is the panels recommendation for a reliable torq equivalent?

Alternatively, I have tried tried a chain driven motor and I was very impressed with the flexibility of driving the motor power through the gears. This to me would also appear a simpler solution for maintenance. However I have read reviews of chain alignment problems and chains coming off!!!

So to be honest I really don't know what to do!!!

Hi Ian,

Plan A. A new Mk3 Torq, Mk2 Forza, Sprint GTS 8 or Sprint Primo GTS, eZee bike bikes have moved on a lot since the original Mk1 Torq.

See this thread http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/ezee-torq-10-years-on.21541/

Plan B. Send us your Mk1 Torq to upgrade / repair.

No problems with chains unshipping on factory made crank bikes.

Lots of choice if you go for a Bosch motored bike.

Also some bikes with a Yamaha motor, and there's always Kalkhoffs which have their own Impulse system.
