Deore XT vs tektro Auriga

Does anyone know their differences and if there is any meaningful thought upgrading from one to the other?

Thanks

The Tektro's are typically fitted on budget bikes where as the M8000 XT brakes are considered some of the best available. Lighter weight, far superior modulation, better stopping power and better heat dispersion to name a few +s for the XT Brakes.

It all means nothing though if the Tektro's do the job for you. If you feel you are pushing to the limits of your brakes then upgrade to the XT stuff. If you just want less wooden feeling brakes then Deore M615 are very good and cheaper than XT.

I have tektro calipers(with shimano pads ) / tektro levers and pipes with shimano Zee rotors ( discs) and my wifes bike has shimano Deore levers/pipes/calipers and discs and I have noticed a big difference in the two brakes...So as a result I am going to replace the tektro gear with shimano Either SLX or Deore levers / calipers and brake pipes. :)

Hydraulic brakes are a massive step up from cable ones. I've tried many types and not noticed a significant difference between them. I guess we don't push them hard enough to notice the difference, which might show up more if you did something like down-hill racing. I'm pretty sure that Tektros are/were fitted to the Oxygen MTB and are/were awesome. My present bike has those Shimano ones that are integrated with the changers. That's the best setup I've experienced.
