Hi all,

If halls and phase wires are too short is it ok to solder new ones to make them longer instead of replacing the cable?

Yes, I've done it many times. It's best to use actual motor cable that has wires coated in PTFE rather than your own wires. You can buy a motor cable for about £10 and cut off the bit you need to extend your existing one.

Ok, thanks. Just out of curiosity what will happen if PTFE coated wire isn't used?
