Hi Everyone
I'm not exactly all that new here. I've been silently dredging this forum for hints, tips and ideas for some time now. Bet there's a lot like me!
I'm not all that new to electric bikes either. I've had a Cytronex Trek FX 7.3 for 3 1/2 years and, touch wood, still going strong. They have their limitations (mostly the fast-only operation) and will not suit everybody, but they do what they do very well in my experience. The only problems I've had are a temperamental light switch, a nicked battery, three punctures and an oik who released the springs from both brakes outside Sainsbury's.
I've had a hankering for a lighter, leaner and less complicated machine for a while now and, just this morning, acquired the first piece of the jigsaw - two Goldant motors from keyde.com. Worryingly, they are numbered LDT00001 and LDT00002! I have put some details up on Jerrysimon's thread about the new lightweight Tongxin.
Cheers everybody!
