Hello Pedelecs,
I've been an electric rider now for about 5 months and damn it's fun. It actually inspired me to buy a second hand Yeti and hit the trails as well so one could say it's a gateway cycle.
My electric is a Haibike Xduro Hardseven that I bought off a chap for £1500 with 40 miles on the clock, all the paperwork and he was even decent enough to give me £40 back for collecting it. It's a peach but I have a few issues. The brakes are pretty naff but that's a fairly straight forward upgrade; it's the gears that I have real truck with. Changing is a bit like trying to force ones way through the gears of a car without a clutch. I exagerate of course but after having XT on the Yeti I have discovered some really sweet and gentle changes. Now here is my problem, My knowledge of bicycles, whilst growing daily, is pretty poor. I want to get an XT setup but there seem to be different cage sizes et al. Could someone please advise me as to what I am after so I don't start spending cash on the wrong thing? Do I also need a new cassette?
Thanks in advance,
Charlie
