Jeez, it puts so much pressure on me during January. I always go down to the wire, and I can never relax until it's done. It's not that the actual form filling is difficult, but it takes me so long to figure out what happened 18 months ago to reconcile all the different bits of paper. Has anybody else still not done it yet? If so, you get my full sympathy.

I always do the opposite, complete the return online as early in the start of a new tax year as I can once all the information I need is in.

Since interest rates on capital have been very low I even pay online the moment I get the figure owing at the completion of the return. Definitely the least stressful way, leaving me feeling smug the rest of the year.

I do exactly the same, I have never quite understood why people leave it to the very last minute, what is the point?
Personally I find my accountant more scary than the taxman. I haven't met with him in person for couple of years now as every time I do it costs an arm and a leg:eek:
