Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi,
I already have a cheap chinese electric bicycle with a 36V 180w hub motor.
I like it, but now I want to build my own custom built super-tourq electric bicycle!

Can someone recomend either some components (high power motor, battery, controller) or perhaps a kit that offers some fantastic acceleration/tourqe capabilities?
Please note that:
- high top speed-NOT important
- high tourqe from low rpm's is my main objective.- cost is not a main concern
- (I would prefer to have a silent solution that does not emit to much mechanical noice.)

Suggestions much appreciated!
Thanks!

The most important component for high torque is a small wheel!

A good high torque kit if it were still available would be the Jeremy's beefy Crystalite in a 20 inch wheel - which was on the 'for sale' board.

The Heinzmann motors are very high toque even in a 26" wheel, but can be on the noisy side.
The Ezee Sprint and Quando also have excellent pulling power.

For high torque I would look at geared motors. eZee and Puma hub motors have high torque as does electro-drive.
