Hi everyone
Just recently purchased a basic Carrera Subway E hybrid (I don’t do off road lol)
Bike has been great until I went for a ride and it just died. Full charge on battery nothing on the display, I took it back to halfords who tried another display from another bike...still dead, it had only done about 30 miles or so in total it is getting replaced just wondering if i should choose another brand?
Any help greatly appreciated!

I think that uses the same Suntour system as the notoriously unreliable Crossfire (search other threads here). Halfords know how unreliable they are but don't officially admit it. I would try to return it as not fit for purpose and get your money back; then try Woosh, Juicy or Wisper.

Carrera Suntour system, yes avoid like the plague or even Covid.
The issue at the moment is that a lot of ebike stock is very low and for the next couple of months will still be so , the choice of new stock will likely also be low as any China hub bikes will be built up within the UK/EU and will be pre booked for customers who have paid a deposit for a build date.

Ahhh thank you very much for the reply, really good advice! I’ll try the 2nd bike & If it happens again, it will be another brand :0)

It might be an option for now with stock/supplies low but definitely get a refund if #2 fails.
