Hi-Vis Vest

Lidl have their Hi-Vis Vests on sale this Thursday , 9th Feb. They are £1.99 and come in yellow or orange . I`ve used them for several years and you really do get a wide berth from other traffic . They also have a selection of Car Tools for £2.99 . One of these is a Battery / Alternator Tester , handy for Motorcyclists and Car Owners . It has led`s to indicate the voltage and comes with crocodile clips . I bought two last time and converted one to a cigar lighter plug after cutting off the clips .

Good price, cheaper than what I paid on eBay even. I think its a very sound buy and I never ride on the road without hi vis now.

I just recently hung up my hi vis vest tho as I got a big padded hi vis jacket from my brother as a christmas present. It's actually a neat coat as its two coats in one... it has an inner hi vis bomber jacket and an outer longer jacket with a big collar and concealed hood..very snug and warm it is too! I reckon these cost around a ton new so I was mighty pleased my brother gave it me.

I dont know what its like in your area , but around here I see at least one every day laid on the road .I used to collect them , put them through the washing machine , and give them to friends and family .

Tool station

Hi. Talking of hi-viz jackets I bought mine at the tool station in Exeter and its waterproof and lined and it's very good value at £19.95 to be honest I ably wear it when it's pouring down or very cold cause it's too hot for me!! But it's a great jacket.

I've got one which I found after some roadworks were completed. After a wash it turned out very well. Never worn it while riding though.

I find the velcro fastening ones to be a real pain to wear because they flap all over the place. Motorcycle vis vests always zip up which I find to be far more comfortable.

I also have an Altura Night Vision cycling jacket which is first class.
