These older ebikes, with the lead acid batteries, tend to be quite a bit heavier than lithium powered units. They are harder to handle. Something to take into consideration seeing he has had a stroke and may have physical limitations.

I seem to recall seeing this before on a powabyke, but I assumed it was a bodge. It will be important that the 6v Batts are each the same ah rating as the 12v ones.

Assuming it's a 36v bike, you would need to wire all four batteries in series (pos to neg all through).

Pics will help us to give the correct answer though....

Dave From Coventry is a good example of the sort of rude tosser that I'm becoming ever increasingly frustrated with.

You sign up, ask a question, then cannot be bothered even to acknowledge the responses you get.

The people on here are prepared to give free, unbiased advice, and you don't have the common manners to say a simple 'thanks guys'.

He's not the only one.....

But you're still setting a fine example Alan. That's all you can do, and hope others follow. Don't get disheartened.

I agree absolutely and was about to post these exact thoughts on a similar thread, it really is irritating and if this is their attitude in other aspects of their life they will surely reap what they sow.
As Bob says, we mustn't get disheartened, we must be thankful for the majority of folk on here who are both helpful and grateful for help.
Dave.

Well he did say 'thanks in advance', so maybe he thinks that covers it!

He seems to have a strange problem with gaps after commas. Maybe he talks without pausing for breath!
