Hi All,

My wife and I have had a couple of electric bikes for 6 months or so, the first time I got on it I was mightily impressed! I'm not very fit so they were a great buy and I did feel I was putting some effort in, but it was so easy!
I've left these bikes in Spain so I'm now looking for a mountain bike style to use here in the UK can't really decide, but think it will be a Kudos, unfortunately where we live there aren't many dealers so it will be an Internet purchase.

Hi and welcome. I've got 2 Kudos bikes which I bought from them direct on the internet. I've not regretted it. As to which one to get, that depends on what you want it to do.

Hi Jimod,

I will probably buy mine off the internet as well, did you get yours from Kudos or one of their dealers? Any issues with delivery? We have problems with some couriers! Much assembly /adjustment required? - I dont mind simple bolt on things or seat, handlebars etc but adjusting disc brakes or a shimano gear set would worry me a bit!
I'm torn between an Arriba and a Typhoon, I think the Typhoon is winning at the moment but I would hate to buy it then wish I'd spent the extra £200 for the Arriba - I've heard from Typhoon owners but no Arriba ones - maybe you?

Hydraulic disc brakes don't need any adjustment. Cable disc brakes are easier to adjust than normal rim brakes. When you need to adjust them, Just ask here and someone will walk you through the procedure. the same with derailleurs. It really is very simple.

I bought them both direct from Kudos. I bought a Tourer from them 3 years ago and a Typhoon from them a couple of months ago.

The Typhoon took about 10 minutes from 'out of the box' to being ridden.

All it needed was the handlebars turned round and tightened, the pedals put on and the front reflector tightened into position.

Kudos have always sent everything I've bought really quickly.

As to which bike to choose I can't say. I like that the Typhoon has a pedal sensor which lets me sometimes get lazy and lets the hamsters in the back wheel do their thing

I put a review of the Typhoon in the review forum on here after I'd done about 100 miles.

Hi Jimod,

Thanks for getting back, it gives me confidence to order, I've now spoken with Kudos and they use my "preferred" couriers.

Read your reviews, very positive! Just trying to get some info on the Arriba, from what the chap from Kudos told me about the torque sensor it sounds interesting.

Decisions decisions ................... :)
