Hi from Buckinghamshire riding a kona coiler getting fit at 49

Hi currently whilst in lockdown getting fit cycling on my son in laws kona coiler and now wanting a electric bike something looks the part and hassle free lol
An ebike that is hassle free that would be a novelty, generally they all have niggles of some kind.

However, the nice thing about bikes is that, mostly, they are shed maintainable.

I would say stick to a hub motored bike with no fancies (who the bloody hell needs blue tooth on a bike?).

Best of all, find a bike you like the feel of and convert it yourself. You end up with a bike you know well and most, if not all, niggles can be worked through/around with help from the enourmous knowledge base on this forum. If you buy a complete kit it will be plug and play - it's what I did 6 years ago and I've done some 8000 miles since.
