Just signed up having ordered my first e-bike conversion kit recently, I'm expecting to receive it in the next few days. I went for a conversion kit as I have a practically unused 2010 Giant Talon sat in the garage which should make an ideal candidate.
I'm a seasoned mountain biker and motorcyclist and my plan is to communte to work on the e-bike. It's a 24 mile round trip, most of which is along a cycle/canal path that starts within 500yds of my home and runs to within about 1/2mile of my work place
I'm also a long time RC hobbyist and have been using LiPo technology for many years and must admit to enjoying all things electrical!
I've ridden the route a few times which takes about an hour each way by pedal power alone. It's the steep sections by the locks that slow me down and get me a bit sweaty, so, I'm hoping the conversion will reduce travelling time and effort.
