A stiff motor wheel is most likely due to shorted motor phase wires or controller FETs. If you unplug the motor from the controller, does the motor become easier to turn?

HI, HAVE UNPLUGGED CABLE, soz , and rear wheel still very stiff and tight in one particular spot, once unplugged the motor problem warning light also comes on, tried some elect clean spray in connector but no luck. also if brakes are pulled on get the braking indicator light as well, from user manual ... which just says in trouble shooting ... contact supplier !!

Okay. That sounds more like a mechanical fault, rather than an electrical short of the phase wires.

I would remove the motor wheel from the bike. If rotation still feels stiff unmounted, you'll have to open up the motor for further examination.

Would it put the throttle problem fault icon on ? Or is that to do with pedals? Will remove wheel tomoz

In all honesty, no it shouldn't, but all we've got to go on is the information that you have provided. As the information changes, so does the diagnosis.

What happens when you disconnect the throttle?

It has no separate throttle as pas. Not been able to disconnect the sensor which I believe runs of the crank spindle
