Help with pedal assist

Recently installed a yosepower kit on a Giant Cypress, everything went well except that the pas is not kicking in,where do I start to troubleshoot?​

Might be C parameter setting C1.
C1 should read 5, 6 or 7, use the one that works the best.

Also is the BB shaft gripping the inner section of the pas correctly and spinning in unison with the cranks rotation ? Remove LH crank arm and check.

This is not related to your problem, but that pedal arm looks very close to the sensor. I think I'd file a bit off the inside to create a small clearance. Also, it would be better if you rotated it round so that the wire exits rearwards and downwards.

C1 will most likely sort out your problem. Is the red indicator LED flashing?

Tried changing the c1 settings, no joy there,
I have removed the sensor, it looks like I might have tightened the pedal arm too much and crushed it,
D8veh, I don’t think this one has a led light.

If the middle still rotates, it should be OK. The sensor is in the bit where the wire connects, which looks undamaged. You can test it off the bike by twizzling the centre, but make sure the bike's motor wheel is off the ground.

I did the same initially, disassembled it and applied some lithium grease then put back together. It still to rotated smoothly after that. Was surprised in doing so to only find 6 magnets in it, aren’t these supposed to have 12?

There’s a small screw behind the sticker, I almost broke mine trying to force it apart before finding that

I think they have dual sensors. Maybe 2 x 6 =12 pulses.

The other common problem is a mismatch in the wiring sequence on the controller's and PAS's connectors. It's worth checking the colours of the wires on each side.

I can confirm that this is the case and it outputs 12 pulses per revolution.
