KT uses three pin sensors, though one can use two pin and simply omit the red/5v.

If the brake lever doesn't have an integrated brake sensor then show us a pic of the lever for sensor placement.

Chop both brake and controller connector off and just solder two wires together , omit the 5v red and heat shrink/insulate the end.
Or if one must have a connector buy a julet or higo tail ( which ever connector you have) and chop off the controller connector , solder the tail to the connector wires and omit the 5v red and insulate.

thanks for your help on this
You're being very sparse with your information, so all we can do is ask more questions. Which version of the controller do you have - block connectors or waterproof ones? Does your controller have two or three wires in the brake connectors, or does it have both?

Thirdly if one doesn't want to chop connectors , buy a 2 pin & 3 pin tail and solder them together to fit in between existing connectors.

One can't buy 2 pin julet to 3pin jst leads , one has to buy the tails and solder them up or simply solder wires together directly.

It is a julet 2 pin waterproof connector so will fit your brake connector.
Wire the tails to the Gnd /black and the Signal /yellow wires on the KT brake cable .

With the KT one doesn't need the brake cut out if not using a throttle .
If not running a throtle KT has no run on, so brake sensors aren't needed .

Be careful to 1) line up the plug/socket correctly, and 2 push all the way home.. afaik the 'waterproof' connector option for ebike controller/peripherals is a real pita if/when any fault finding/fixing is involved, and the tiny pins are Very fragile.. (It seemed like a good idea/option when kit shopping.. it wasn't.. )

fwiw 'tails' above relates to the wire ends of a ebay socket cable..

A julet is a moulded w/p connector with wire tails.
