Yeah I did happen to see that page, after I posted here, but only trouble is they say

Estimated between Tue, 26 Nov and Wed, 1 Jan

I cant wait that long. I am on a 1st floor flat so 16 steps to carry up bike each time, so I just went down 16 steps again lol and decided to bike to halfords, a good mile from mine, and no they dont have those pads, so then i knew of another bike shop another 2 miles away dam when i got there it said closed mondays GGrgghhhhh. lol. so now back up 16 steps with bike again. it seems i am going to have to wait, for a while with no front brakes, but then i have back brakes, so can use bike but just have to be a bit slow going down hills etc. lol

Is this the same product? SpeedPAK is pretty quick, considering. There's always someone selling the same product you're looking for from China on ebay, but using SpeedPAK.

Thats cheap but then again it says 14th to 20th November I need them ASAP

But its a bit confusing as it says buy 2 for £4.49 so that = £8.98 item discount - £1 = £7.98 + vat £1.50 = £9.48 so where did he get £8.48

Hope you get those soon, but I've given up being hopeful of receiving items like that from within the UK - might still be sent from China. Even when it says "Royal Mail 48", very often that's just been the final leg, with you having paid more.

Well I wasnt going to wait from 26th November to 1st Jan so I am hoping they arrive before this saturday really but cant say much when it says estimate from 9th dam halfords was a waste of a bike ride humping the bike down 16 steps only to be told by halfords they dont do those sort, then another shop was closed dam so back up 16 steps again lol But Like i said i can still ride bike but have to take it slow now as back brakes also need a new set too. but ok for now. so it looks like a new pair of shoes soon as use foot to slow down now lol. :D

When using Chinese stuff which you can only get cheaply from China, always buy spares well ahead of time - it's why I bought a spare controller for my BBS01B, because there's no way I'm paying well over the odds buying from the UK in a pinch, because I can't wait weeks or a month. Happily the old one is working well, and I'm hoping it will survive till I sell the bike someday, because the spare unused controller is increasing in value - I only paid £20 for it, someday it will be worth meeellions.

Well I have ordered where it says buy 2 for £4.49 each. so do that mean its front and back brakes x 2 lots

Contact the seller.

The listing does state:

2 Pair

...so you can open a dispute if needed. Ebay always refunds, in my experience.

I'd say that you'll receive 8 brake pads - two for the front and two for the back plus a complete spare set.

Yeah thats what I thought, also just had a reply from the seller and he confirmed its front and back 2 times.

I am also fitting new brake cables. Ive pulled the old ones out, and ordered new cables. is there a special way to thread them through black cable, or will they go through ok

Retro fit hydraulic brakes and then no need to worry about poor cable inefficacy.

Hydraulic are fit and forget, one can get two pot hydraulic sets for under £40 which will be far better then cable, Hydraulic use two piston operation rather then the single piston operation of cable ones.

Go for four pot hydraulic and one gains 20% more effiency over two pot hydraulic brakes.

I wont have a clue how to fit those, to my bike, so you say no cable so how do they stop the bike. is it all done by oil or what ever

It's simple undo your old brakes and simply bolt on th new ones.

Hydraulic brakes on a bike work much the same way as on a car , except one has a lever to apply the brake force pressure instead of a foot pedal.

Hydraukic brakes with callipers come already primed with synthetic fliud ( don't buy ones that use DOT 4/5 brake fluid) .

Measure the the length of the old brake outer cable and buy hydraulic brakes of a similar length.

Hydraulic with synthetic fluid are pretty much maintenance free unless one has a a leak or messes about with them when they don't need to.

.

P.S

In #1 imv one has left it a bit late to change the pads , I would have changed them over well before the conditon yours are in.

Always have spares in your kit/chest so one isn't caught out.

I 'm still using a supply of pads I bought 6 or 7 years ago from AliExp , I bought a job lot /bundle for £1 a pair .
