I have a friend in Knottingley West Yorkshire who needs help with a Zero X electric motorbike. He says "some of the cells are not charging" He has changed all the electronic parts trying to fix the bike his self with out any joy. Is there anyone out there that can help him with this awesome bike ? I am down in Somerset and its too far for me. The technology is not that complicated.I think It has a brushed motor and Potentiometer throttle, High end speed controller but the battery must be something really special to provide the performance of this machine. I have thought of sending him to a mobiltity scooter repair shop. Can anyone help him ? He can pay the right man.

The problem with this is probably no-one having experience of what it's setup is, and with lithium batteries at least some knowledge of it is needed. The nearest dealer to the UK is in Jersey, though there are many dealers on the continent.

If further south there might have been options to ask, but I don't know of anyone in Yorkshire or nearby northern areas.

You said earlier that you would have a look at the bike if he could get it to you. Are you withdrawing the offer? If its a question of getting some technical information. They have a web site and Im sure they would provide information. He is quite desperate to get someone to help him.

If he's sure that there's something wrong with the battery, and he can send it to me in Telford, I don't mind having a look at it. I should also be able to confirm whether the battery is faulty or not.

I'm in Yorkshire but don't think I'm geared up to look at a Zero X! Wow what a bike. Could he be having this issue? http://electricmotorcycles.co.uk/zero-x-battery-technical-problems/
Great sugestion. This needs looking at but the guy doesn't know what he's doing. He tells me he's tried randomly replacing parts,he imported from a scrap bike. He can barely use a multimeter. He did order some new cells but I suspect he will wreck them if the original problem is not sorted.

I'm puzzled by this since I didn't make an offer. Perhaps you mixed my one post up with another?
I'm puzzled too. I logged in yesterday and there was a reply from you. It said "Im in Derbyshire and I can take a look if he can get it to me" but it disapeared when I came back in the evening. Im sorry if I have made a mistake.

No problem passpato, I thought it might have been that since it's very easy to do. I've done it accidentally myself in the past!

I'm on the southern tip of London so too far away to help with the Zero I'm afraid.
