I have a folding E+ E bike that I bough cheap as a non runner. You could smell the burn from the controller. To find identical controller was difficult but I found a used controller sold as working from almost the same bike. This has different connectors to my loom but came with the original PAS snd Led Display So apart from the brake switches it all connects.
So I fitted everything and it all lights up. When I pedal the front wheel gives a very quick boost to a fast speed and then freewheels to a stop. When it stops if the pedal is still turning it starts again.
someone suggested as the PAS connector had different colours apart from the red to try changing them. I did this but then it didn’t work at all.
my original controller had i think a 6 pin Julet connector but 9 pin at the motor.
the replacement has 9 pin from the controller all the way to the wheel.,
not quiet sure what to do next.
Will a thumb throttle fit where the PAS connects ?

thank you

Thank you.IMG_0309.pngIMG_20231002_164712_652.jpeg

That's normal when the bike's not on the road because the wheel spins above the speed limit. You get a different speed limit with each setting on the LED control panel. Try it on the road on all levels.

You can't connect a throttle to that controller.

Chinese blue yellow and red connector is yellow groun, red 5v and blue signal, so yours is connected correctly.

I haven’t been able to ride the bike on the road as I am waiting for an extension Julet cable but I made the front brake bind to grab the wheel so it has a load and it still gives an almighty kick and then stops.
What I have found out is that if I hold down the - button it starts to spin the wheel very slowly and then builds up to what would be a fast walking pace. Like this the wheel spins slowly smoothly and continuously.
still learning but will this prove the fault is not in the wheel or the wires to it?
I will try on the road when my new cable arrives.
Any ideas please.

I managed to try the cycle on the road.
it won’t power up because as soon as you pedal with the front wheel moving it will not give that kick to the wheel. The wheel had to be still before it will give that kick of power.
I may try it with the chain off so the wheel will be still but something is wrong.
thinking I have been sold a bad controller ?

thanks
