Help electrical problem

Featured Replies

Bafang 20inch front wheel 48v 500w with a 48v 20ah battery. When I first drop the battery in place and switch on. The display comes on then the 30H code appears. If I disconnect the brakes, throttle, and peddle assist 30H remains on. If I disconnect the wheel motor cable it shows 8H and then when it is connected back up it cancels the 30H and everything works fine. Took it over some bumpy terrain no problem. If I switch it off or disconnect the battery for a brief period everything still comes back on. If I take the battery off overnight and go back the next day It goes through the same process 30H until I disconnect the wheel motor cable and connect it back up again and then everything works okay again.

Just wondered what I should be looking for to rectify the problem so it works without me disconnecting the wheel cable every time.

I'd say 30H is communication issue between display and controller. Make sure all cables are not crimped, connections are sound. I'd guess a green cable being the issue. Hope you get it sorted.
