HELP _ GreenEdge CS2/16 Replacement Rear Hub Motor details

Hi All

Does anyone know where I can purchase a new rear Hub Motor for my Greenedge CS2/16 Bike?

It's a 36 Volt DC, 250 Watt 26" motor. It looks like its made by Suzhou Xiong Feng Motor Co. in China

Does anyone know which model of motor was fitted into the Greenedge CS2/16?

Looking at a website I think it may be one like this, but wouldn't have a clue as to where to buy one from.

I've also noted that people are saying it might be able to be repaired? Something about fitting a new clutch kit?

You can fit any hub motor as it will work Xofo & Mxus like most others also are clones of Bafang hubs, Xofo tend to be OEM only so getting spares may be hard.

How much would you want for the hub? And would you be able to post it to me by say Hermes or similar? Obvoisly I'd pay for the postage.

Just to confirm, it is for a rear wheel?

I will have to search for it in the garage, take a pic or two and confirm the motor designation. I do know it takes a threaded freewheel cluster.

You haven’t said what is wrong with your current motor. It could be something simple to fix and could potentially not be the motor. . A new motor has the complication of getting the wheel laced. How many miles has the motor done ?

I'm not sure now what make the hub is I have got it, is a Mxus or clone of one originally I bought it to electrify a bike for the wife but she wasn't interested so it has sat in the box for about 4 years. I bought it form Bankrupt bike parts and seem to remember it being sold as a Mxus but can't be 100% sure.

The motor weight is 2.9kg, flange dia is 136mm and spoke hole dia is 129mm.
It has rotor fixings.

Drop out width is 135mm.
Apart form the these markings there are no other ones on it, it was sold a s a 250w hub.


Motor cable is standard 9 pin Julet sequence.


The hub has never been laced up as the spoke holes are clean and unmarked, there is some minor cosmetic marks on the flange. These must be handling marks and were present from the vendor.
