Helmet for bikes

What's the thoughts on full faced helmet on an ebike?
I've got an old bowl polystyrene effort I use but thinking of updating.
No idea what to buy, or where to get one from. Guess a bike shop.
Do you need a box to lock it in like I have done with my motorcycle helmet in year past, or carry around if doing a quick shop?

i have a full face helmet as to many nut jobs about like me lol but you get what you pay for.

I guess I need to go have a look. Seems I have two ebike/ bike shops near me plus Halfords.
Just seems a bit odd to me having a full faced helmet riding a bike, still. If I bite the dust I'll be glad of it.
Might start with something cheaper but I understand what your saying regarding you get what you pay for.

the ram rovers go past me going 60 mph round the country lanes racing circuit round here but my helmet is heavy and no way to adjust it.

All depends on how you ride your bike. For normal use full faced helmet is a total overkill.

I don't remove my helmet while shopping.

I remember my foot going through front wheel on my push bike 40 years ago. Wheel jammed and over the handlebars I went. No helmet in them days.
And I hit a ramp jumping and front wheel exploded. Bang! Over the bars I went again. I've got a think head. Lol.
I'd not survive now..

I'm thinking of winter weather and cold rain as well. Head protection..

Might stick with what I got for now. I'm going to have a look in the bike shops though.

I've got..... The electric bike shop.... it's a UK chain around two miles from my home. Never been in store tbh...

What's the thoughts on full faced helmet on an ebike?

There are maybe some nut jobs out there who ride, potentially illegally powered eBikes, that probably do choose to wear full face type helmets, but it seems a bit uneccesary for those riding legal eBikes that keeps to 25kmph.

I was persuaded by @soundwave and @mt247 to buy one. Jaw and teeth are at risk without a jawguarded helmet, saved mine at least twice so far. Otherwise, nasty things can happen to your face at legal speeds, as Dan Walker disovered:

Add a rain cover and it's even better at keeping out cold air in the winter. Mine's a Amazon cheapo. As you can see, my handsome features are unaltered by impacts:

If someone objects, my rucksack is large enough to carry my jawguarded helmet, or I can loop it on.

Tescos security guards don't like my camera, but they're fine with the helmet being worn.

It isn't nutty wanting to keep one's teeth where they belong, instead of in a drawer or somewhere, if found.
