I'm 57 years old and purchased an Infineum Extreme at the end of February. I've been cycling since I first got a bike at the age of eight.

I recently moved from London to Cowes on the Isle of Wight. As I found the hills too steep for me (I've been a heavy smoker all my life too) I thought an eBike would be ideal.

I've joined this forum for any hints and tips I can find about electric bikes.

Here's a a couple of good tips:
1. Buy an electric bike as soon as you can. It doesn't matter which one. They're all good. Go out and have fun riding it, which will soon improve your level of fitness and lengthen your life. The sooner you get it, the longer you'll live, so don't dally too long. Your weight would help us point you at a suitable bike, and any other requirements (budget) would also help.

2. Go on the vaping forums, where you'll find out the best vapes so that you can switch from fags to vapes, which will also help you to live longer. same thing: Don't dally. Or, you can read the rather lengthy thread on this forum about vaping. you need to try a lot of different vapes to find one that suits you. don't give upon them because the first one you tried was horrible. Can you remember that first fag? It was horrible too.
