Hi all.

Had an opportunity to ride an electric bike a few weeks back. I was under the impression these things were more of an eco-joke! I returned 10 minutes later with the 'Stupid Grin'. Completely smitten. Had to get one as soon as possible.

I would like to say a large 'Thank You' to all the contributors on this site for their fountain of knowledge and experience about all things "E". At a time when my information hunger reached fever pitch, just about everything I wanted to know was on here somewhere.

I bought a Freego Eagle with the 17 amp battery, and its bl--dy great. I will do a full appraisal shortly on the Electric Bikes dept.

That's all very well, Eaglerider, but it's thanks to you making me have a go on your bike that I now find myself also completely smitten, the owner of two e-bikes* and said 'stupid grin'.

And poorer to the tune of several thousand pounds.

*The Kudos has just sold, so technically it's just the one bike now...
