Sorry I'm late replying. Been a bit distracted We collected the bikes yesterday. They are Tern P7i. What a shock to the system. I am nearing 70 and haven't been on a bike for over 30 years. They say you don't forget but I was very shaky and feel as though I am not at all in control. Very scared of grit, up & down hills, potholes, traffic, my own shadow Just off now to have another try.

Today should be a good start if the weather there is anything like here; you won't have to worry about your own shadow. Just take it easy and I'm sure you'll soon be enjoying it immensely.

Many thanks sjpt, it was a very short run and I am home in one piece. I did fall off once trying to 'take off.' Hill starts need some practice. My partner says I have taken to cycling like a duck to baseball!
