Hi there, I have just stumbled across the Pedelecs site and am really pleased that I did!
My wife and I live in Cheddar. We moved from Lincolnshire (MUCH flatter terrain) and I would love my wife to cycle with me but she was daunted. So, in a fit of completely naive, impulsive fervour I ended up buying a Giant Twist 1.1 with two 26V, 9Ah batteries.
It looks like a lovely, though heavy, bicycle and i am finding my way round it, I now i should have done more research but it was there and priced well and...you know how it is!
I would welcome any comments on the cycle. I am very keen to learn,
I have a few issues with one battery but i guess that is best raised in the appropriate forum.
It looks a great community and I am happy to be a part of it now!

Hello and welcome John :)

I love Cheddar  Beautiful part of the country. Love sitting on the low wall in the high street on a warm, sunny day, just watching the day go by and trout in the stream.

Welcome.

I cycled up Cheddar Gorge on a non-assisted bike about 6 weeks ago. Not too steep but it goes on for ever!

E-Bikes are definitely the way forward for leisure riding around the Mendips.

I hope you get your battery issues resolved and get to enjoy the bike.
