I am Tony, and I hail from West London, I have been ‘Pedelecing’ for a week now, I decided for this year to sort out an alternative form of transport for commuting. The original plan was just to buy a half decent hybrid cycle, after a search on the WWW, I came across Electric bikes, and this superb site.
The company I work for offer the ‘Ride to Work’ scheme, but only deal with one company, so I passed on that.
I finally took a punt on the Cyclamatic Power-Plus at the £399 price, a tactical purchase..If it’s not for me, I can pass it on to my Son, if it is for me, I can still pass it onto my Son, while Dad goes for an upper market bike upgrade ….
I am quite impressed with the Cyclamatic for the money, a bit ‘agricultural’ in places as we say,already had thoughts about ‘tinkering’. I am into other things electric powered by way of radio controlled model aircraft,from small 450mAh-7.2v Lipo and small brushless outrunner motors,to 5000mAh – 22.2volt Lipo powered models that run around 2kW of power.
I never thought I would say I enjoy my journey to work, but I do now, my journey time is now less using the Cyclamatic using the cycle path routes in my area, and it is a big grin factor as I sail past the ‘sloggers’. I just wish I done this years ago.
