Hello,

I am new to the electric bike world.
Basically, I was so annoyed about the train fare increase when I came back to London that I decided to buy an electric scooter. Thanks to the "magic of the internet" I discovered the world of electric bike. I tried a wisper 905se at the electric transport shop and was so impressed that I made the jump :D

I now cycle happily to go to work 2-3 times a week which is a 36 miles round trip.

PS: Is anyone using a GPS for navigation? If yes could you please share your experience? I am looking into it but they are very pricey and seems to do a lot of training stuff in which I am not interested... Thanks!

Don't get a GPS: Use a phone with GPS instead. You can buy a really nice android phone for the same price as a GPS - or a lot less. Get a used one if you want to save some more money. You can get a mount on Ebay for about £5, and then you can use Google navigation. Additionally you'll be able to use any of the Android bike aps, where you can log and analyse your journeys etc. Also, with the money you saved, you can buy a Speedict, which will show all and log all your battery information on your phone and it enables you to adjust the power and speed (downwards from the maximum).
If you want any info on how to make a nice mount for a fiver, post again.

Hi,

I am currently using an android (htc desire s) phone but the gps is often completely wrong most probably because of the signal. Looking at the gps prices, I will stick to it as it looks like it is not worth the extra money and the cheapest unit will not be any better.

Yes, any info on how to make a nice mount for a fiver is more than welcome. The one I bought is pretty bad and the phone already felt in the middle of the road!

Thanks
