I searched on You Tube for a video of someone opening up a Mk1 Powabyke front wheel motor to no avail.I then looked on the some of the foums and yours looked the best. I picked up this bike in a sorry state but the tyres had hardly any wear.I eventually found that the wires coming from the wheel had been almost cut and badly frayed. I want to replace them but I don't want to damage anything, already had trouble with 3 of the screws.Can someone advise me what wires I should use and is there a metal covering I could use to protect them, and any pointers on removal and servicing it Here are photo's.
