I’m new to e-bikes. I bought a Heinzmann Classic kit earlier this year to convert an older mountain bike, and bought the throttle controlled option thinking I’d be able to add the pedelec sensor later if I wanted to do so.
On investigating this, I’m advised I’ll need to buy another new controller to allow me to fit the pedelec option.
The present controller model number – ending 1133 has a spare three pin female terminal which I thought would take the lead from the sensor, but it’s apparently not connected at the business end to the circuit boards inside the controller.
Has anyone any experience of this situation and is there any way of fixing this without having to buy another complete controller?
