Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

I like the look of the CYC Photon. Who doesn't like ISIS bottom bracket instead of a square taper bottom bracket? Also, the chainring and clutch look very well machined, waterproofing also looks very good.
The only criticism I have of the CYC Photon is there is not yet YT video of a complete disassembly of the motor. Manufacturers must see the need for such video. It helps potential customers to understand the strengths of the product.

Have you tried softening the glue using a heat gun, or dissolving it using acetone?

You avoided to answer me so for everybody: i live in Eastern Europe - don't know alex.
I DON'T work for ToSeven. Just that in 10 years never saw something so good ON PAPER .

WE ARE 3 friends - we want to buy 1x 1000w dm01 to test it.
I am NOT HERE to waste your time with PHiLOSOPHiCAL teachings like the rest of "Platons" here do. Some maybe trolls! - "pull to star"?????? Tongsheng ,dum.b ass, has the same thing.

Woosh: Who THE HELL CARES FOR YOU TO TELL ME that N.M. are measured at the cHAINRING?
"If the driven mechanism has a reduced speed than the drive mechanism torque is increased by multiplication, a 4:1 ratio would quadruple the torque seen"- GOOGLE - you also have a store.
You are CRAP! come on!

AND ALL THE rest of "STORIES" - philosophies- YOU ALL DON'T know what the hell you are talking about, do you?
"I WANT THIS - I WANT this for the motor". Santa Claus? ---- WHAT DO YOU DRINK? Illegal stuff?
GO TO your crooks - big companies- Samsung, etc . BAFANG? CYC? Idiotic products made for...??? i... people??
LIKE SHEEPS you buy their EXPENSIVE products - NOBODY asked you before producing them.

- Bafang ultra (u.trash)- +1000$+ KILLED by Bosch- see video on youtube. Couldn't climb a hill. Bosch how much power? 350W peaking at... 2000w??? No-no!
ALL their IMAGE DIED for 10% of people that are WISER- 90% buy because of it's IMAGE not quality.
- CYC? ultra expensive- 300rpm that NOBODY use - NOBODY!!!! too much!
- means "you DO THE REDUCTION not us?!!" - WHY not ask "why +1000$ THEN , crooks????"
300rpm https://www.bikecalc.com/gear_ratios - means OVER 100KM/H that can't even WERE REACHED- . means WAY TOO MUCH rpm -
1500W at constant 60km vs ANY GARBAGE MOTOR that consume 800w- means 200$ MOTOR not 1200$..... but SHEEPs KNOW better................... better IMAGE!

BETTER IMAGE - BETTER looking websites - BETTER COMMERCIALS - MANY SHEEPs on their side:)) - less wise people - INOVATION ? "BIG TIME"! moneyVATION
TSDZ +ToSeven? - vice versa - CRAPPY IMAGE-, crappy websites, etc

TSDZ2 OPENSOURCE firmware- under 300$ -a MONSTER & beauty under 1000w! RESULT?? People buy more BBSh.it02 and other Crap proven to be crap!

ToSeven - TSDZ2 OC - up to 2000w- just 600$ - PEOPLE?? CYC, BBSHD, BBS ULTRA(ultra..expensive).... WE LOVE THEM!! bETTER WEBSITEs, BETTER Commercial!

CONCLUSION:
40:1? "is fake" - " if not who cares!"
"price MEANS IT'S a LOW QUALITY product" ( but for me 600$ is NOT super CHEAP)
52V boring to many of us!- but +60V is good? - " NO! we don't care!"
"It's a NEW MOTOR!!" -WOOW!! i thought it was an old one!!!---- i must bring a time machine!!
torque sensor vs bbs, etc!??? good but- who cares!!"

IT'S NEW- PAPER DOES NOT count even if it's A MONSTER (tsdz2)!
> > > > NOTHING GOOD about it !!! Nothing < < < < <
in the END same thing : "YOU ALL DON'T know what the hell you are talking about"
"Let's help Ukraine - WW3!!" incredible!

Possibly there is a bit more room for a smaller dished chainring on the to seven than on the tsdz2? Whilst lots of folks want bigger chainrings than the tsdz2 standard dished 42t, I would potentially want to go as low as 36t with my 26 inch wheels. For those with a 29er I can image the 42t is limiting without spendy big cogs on the back - assuming you ride hills.

I'm all for keeping the consumable transmission components cheap so not interested in spendy 11 speed setups. Agricultural 7 or 8 speed is cheap as chips. On my particular bike with its asymmetric BB shell I might be able to achieve an acceptable chainline with a non-dished chainring, but my bike is a bit odd.

You are CRAP! come on!
let's take an example so the numbers will help you make sense.
Your bike has 26" wheels, a 44T chainring, 8-speed and you fit a 36V BBS01 motor. You climb a hill on maximum throttle at 70rpm and your motor produces 80NM at the chainring.
70RPM is the rotational speed = 70/60 * 2 * PI radians/s = 7.33 rad/s
The mechanical power is P = torque * rotational speed (or angular velocity) = 80NM * 7.33 rad/s = 586.4W. Battery consumption is about 730W-750W.
Your motor spins at 70RPM * reduction ratio = 70 RPM * 20/1 = 1400 RPM
You now replace that motor with a TSDZ2 which has a reduction ratio of 40 to 1 but similar capabilities. You climb the same hill with the same bike, the difference is the motor.
All the numbers above remain the same, except that the motor now runs at double the speed, 2800rpm instead of 1400rpm. All what happens is the TSDZ2 does the same work as the BBS01, one turn of the BBS01 is worth 2 turns of the TSDZ2.

this nice thread is going completely off the rails
The topic is how to market a new product in the Internet age. Here is a new company with products that look much like others. How will it create a good image? The problem they have here is they rely on people without technical skills to answer technical questions.
The specific issue with their DM02 is lack of innovation. It looks too much like the TSDZ2. Sure, you can always claim you've done something better but if you ask people to trust your word without track record, you have to be pretty open, transparent, concise and convincing. Alex Noble and KatLee?

Exactly there's a lot of trolling especially by people who like to think they have technical knowledge but have no experience in engineering or product development and are actually just quite emotional about their lack of control or influence. One or two to the extent they have started new accounts just to troll.

Just those few trolls have dragged this thread into the mud. Meanwhile through other forums we have had amazing engagement from programmers and engineers who now have units on their way to them next week.. you know constructive people who are looking forward to giving valuable constructive feedback. We didn't plan that. It just so happened that those people began reaching out to us, Its exciting when you get genuine talented people who want to see what they can do with your products

Its really not hard to spot who knows what they are talking about and who doesn't once someone engages you, in this case as most things in life genuine enthusiasm has been rewarded.. while the guys on this thread seem to think the world starts and ends here.

This thread has nothing to do with our marketing its just a few trolls throwing muck and hoping some sticks for whatever reason.

For that reason i feel there is currently little to no benefit to engaging here, we obviously have a lot of work on right now, getting the motors out to distributers and reviewers, and continuing work on our product roadmap

Unfortunately this is the way of life online at the moment. But overall feedback and response has been amazing so Kath and i are really busy engaging with those people.

Alex, ' just a few trolls' you said.
If you want respect and careful consideration for your products, join the forum properly, participate, contribute like subscribe as a trade member or better still, advertise to help with funding.
How many real questions have you answered? You and KatLee parachuted your me-too products here and incessantly whinge about others.

you are mean first to Tongsheng. What have they done to your company?
I have been selling Tongsheng TSDZ2 for the last 4 years, I like their product, I like the company.
Guess how I feel when I read your company's sales rep's posts?
You still have not answered this,

And with that we have it,. if anyone wants to understand why woosh has been trolling to7 its because his feelings are hurt apparently we were "mean" to tongsheng. You will need to search the thread high and low for where as i never mentioned them.

Our products are launching and users will be more than able to make up their own minds.

Nice, aren't you? I feel sorry for toseven to have you as their sales manager.
How long again have you been selling e-bikes or e-bike kits?

This has been a very interesting thread , and very entertaining; however, I haven't learnt much from it. Here's the questions that I'd like answered before I bought one.
1. Where can you get spare parts for it? All motors need spare parts sooner or later, especially mid-drives. At the moment, I don't see any seller or system for supplying spare parts. If I were the rep for ToSeven, the first thing I'd do is set up a supply chain at least to myself, to covert the short term, while more permanent solutions are developed.
2. What is the clearance around the shaft that goes through the BB. If that's big enough for the bulging BBs that you get on modern bikes, that would be a massive advantage, as that feature excludes most decent bikes that you can get these days from fitting BBS** and TSDZ02.
3. How much current is set as default in each version? From that, you will know immediately how much power you're going to get from it and how it compares with others.

For my own interest, I would like to know how Alexfnoble fits in with Alex F Noble car buisiness. Did you get sponsored by them? Are you a family member or what? Yes I know it's none of my business and nothing to do with the technicalities of the ebike motors, but I like to know these things.

In all the time I've been on the forum, I don't think I've ever seen so many new members turn up in one thread. How many more will we get? I guess that's good for the forum. It could do with some new blood.
