Has anyone actually seen a Renault Twizy on the road?

Living in Sunderland, I suppose it's highly unlikely that I will see a Twizy on the road, as the Nissan Leaf tends to be the electric weapon of choice.

But has anyone actually seen a Twizy out on the public highway?

I've seen a couple locally in Derbyshire, but only the one sighting for both.

I wouldn't know one if it was parked next to me...... because i have no interest in owning an electric car, i have no idea what any of them look like.

I've owned one for 3 1/2 Years :D
It's now done 16,000 miles.
Top speed is a limited 52mph and range is 35-45 Miles depending on temperature and how it's driven.
Charging time is 3 hours from flat to full
Mine has the optional Doors (?) and also aftermarket Windows fitted.

Do you get positive or negative reactions from other road users Andy?

There are several around here but I think you may see lots more in Paris and other large cities. 190€ / month is a bit steep for my budget (60€ / month battery rent + financing)

@Normsthename is it hilly where you live? Renault market research should have stipulated the doors as standard for the UK :D

Renault can sell those but you can't build one of these with a 4 kW motor and use it in the same way:

Even with 30 kg of LiPo weight difference alone would mean twice the range not to mention superior aerodynamics...

Generally it gets very positive reactions.
Always getting asked questions about it every time I go shopping!
Usually the same questions!
"I bet that's good on petrol?"
"It's electric"
"Electric? How fast does it go?"
"How far does it go?
"How long does it take to charge?
Etc etc....... :D
Always see people taking photos of it when I am out and about.
Had people taking pictures of it while they were driving along..........
Not to be recommended!
A couple of years ago my brother went to Monaco and he took a picture of a Twizy parked up next to several Supercars, everyone was crowded around the Twizy taking photos!
There is a Gizmo available for a few hundred quid that plugs into the diagnostic port and derestricts the Twizy.
It increases the Torque by 76% and top speed upto 68mph :)
