Halfords "Try Before You Buy" policy

Clearly Halfords are now stocking better quality higher priced ebikes with the odly named Voodoo Zobop and are also publishing a very clear test ride policy that would surely be of interst anyone wanting to buy one, so with a store near most towns should ebike selling LBS be worried?

This is why my wife ended up with a crossfire rather than a Cube. She is quite short in the leg and none of our local bike shops had something appropriate in the right size to try. Stopped in to Halfords on the way home one night and 30 minutes later we had made a purchase.
