halfords pendelton price variation?

mooching about in my local Halfords today to see if there any bargains it being easter (Halfords tend to do discounts easter/ black Friday/xmas)

couple of reductions on road bikes, crossfire ebikes £1250, but one in different place in store £1000.

my interest was taken when a couple were being shown the Pendleton ladies step through ebike,

(black Friday the Pendleton was £500 rather than its usual price £750 in store)

I remember because a women I know has virtually the same style bike but unpowered, and might like the pendelton) ebike as her journey to work is hilly.

a little while later the woman was riding the bike round the car park for a testrun,

I asked the assistant price of the pendelton ? £750 was reply. I said it was £500 black Friday different colour was the reply.

looking online it seems its reduced to £600 ? colour of bike being demoed white&purple

unless there are different vertions?

I noticed that some where priced £1000-£2000+.
I wonder how long these makers of the expensive bikes can
survive with the flood of electric bikes £450 - £750
commg on the market. See Argos is pushing their cheap
imports.
