Hi all,

For my next project I was going to do another rear hub conversion of a Whyte Calendonian hybrid. I have already a mid drive 48v BBS02B conversion of my Boardman 29er.

I wanted to be able to swap the Hailong 48v 20ah battery (Samsung cells) between these two e-bikes depending on which one I was using

Is it possible to source another battery mount to be able to do this

The answer is yes in theory, but there are several mounts for Hailong cases. The more common ones have blade connectors. I don't think I've seen your type on a separate mount, but I haven't specifically looked for it. If you have enough money, I think it would be a better Idea to buy a whole battery of the same type. Its better value overall. You get a spare battery in case of problems. You can go on very long journeys. Its more convenient. You'll need another battery sooner or later.

Those connectors are a bit more delicate than the blade type. Make sure that your battery is always switched off when you slide it in.

Thanks @Nealh

I emailed tbk with pictures and the spec they identified it and gave me a link to their AliExpress site where the postage was much cheaper

Thanks again
