Hailong 48V 12Ah Lithium Ion Frame Battery 30Q Samsung Cells

Considering swapping my current dolphin style frame pack, for one of these:

The main reason is that I want a UK supplier, and a pack with the Samsung 30Q cells. Shame Eclipse don't do the dolphin pack with 30Q cells

My only concern is that the Hailong packs don't have an on/off switch to cut the output voltage to the terminals.

Is anyone using one of these packs, where they are fitting and removing it regularly?
I need to know if there are any signs of terminal damage, due to the sparking caused by connecting the pack with the output energized.

Thanks for the info tommie. He'll probably confirm that there will be the usual sparking caused by the connection of a live battery and controller.

I'm kinda hoping someone on this forum is using one of these, and can give me a first hand account of any terminal arcing damage.

I was going to say the same. he can swap out your cell-pack for the ones you want. I bet for a lot less than £330 too. Those 08 cases have an advantage over the 09s: They're more waterproof.

I probably would if my current pack was at the end of it's cycle-life, but it's only a year old, and it would be a shame to lose cells that have bags of life left in them.

I'll drop him a line and see if he can offer a ready made dolphin pack with the 30Q's. Be handy to have a 30Q pack and keep my current pack as a back up spare.
