Hi new member here joining the world of e biking. I have found a bike I’d like but I’m rather confused in what size to get. The bike I’m looking at is the Haibike sduro hard seven 5. I’m stuck between getting the 44cm and 48cm version. Im just over 5ft 7 in height with a 30 inch leg seam.
All the info online points to a 44cm ( medium ) being the most suitable.
I currently ride a non electric boardman txc 650b in the 18 inch medium size, this bike is possibly slightly too large but I like the riding position and feel well in control of it.
Due to the current climate with Covid19 I can’t get to a bike shop that stock these to try out and having to go online but I’m looking to seek advice on what you guys on here think and the general opinion of whether Haibike frames are on the smaller or larger side. Basically what would you go for.
thanks in advance

my bike is 48cm give you a idea on size but i need the dropper post up otherwise my legs would be bent all the time with it down.

44 would be way to small for me.

Thank you for reply so soon. Basically that’s why I’m asking as although the sizing guidance says 44cm, I enjoy the large feeling of my current bike and don’t want a bike that both is and looks too small. I’m used to not being to touch the ground when in saddle. May I ask what height I are? Smart bike btw what model is that one ?

This info is confirming my suspicions that I would be better off with a 48. The bike won’t just be used for trail use but it’ll be a commuter and used a lot on paved / tarmac surfaces also. Whereas I can see for this a hybrid may be more suited, I’d prefer to have a MTBs for its use anywhere qualities. Would u say that Haibike frames are generally smaller when compared to equivalent sized other brands?

48 all day long
5,11" here with 30.5" inside leg
I personally don't like a cramped cock pit so would rather go a size up

i did change the bars and stem tho as dont like more than 50mm stem length wise and bars are not cut.

my m8 has a 52cm frame trek and i cant ride that as my arms are not long enough so way to big for me reach wise lol.

I’m like 75 % sure towards the 48cm. Would u say it’s ok for someone at 5ft 7
soundwaves bike looks great and about the right size. Seen other posts online that the Haibike frames are large compared to another brand of same size so that’s why I’m asking

If you check out the frame geometry of the bike and measure the top tube and compare with your own bike which your at home with that would be more your best bet As seat posts adjust
Example I have an 18" haibike and a 19" scott and both have the same horizontal top tube length
If your really unsure you need to check geo charts
To be happy
