Hi, I'm having trouble getting the battery catch to latch onto the loop on the battery cradle. the latch just doesn't engage and the battery can therefore come loose. What does the green part of the handle do - it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the latch mechanism? Many thanks for any help.

Hi fitting battery locate in bottom cradle and push lightly against the clip at the top, it should snap in with an audible click (Classic Gtech) When removing squeeze the green handle on top of battery to disengage the clip then pull forwards and upwards to remove

Many thanks Atlav4. But the issue is that the latch doesn't snap into place at all. Instead of the latch springing down into the catch and holding the battery in place, the latch doesn't locate and the battery therefore pushes back out of place. Ultimately, it could fall off the bike, although it hasn't actually done so yet. Just wondered if anyone had experienced the same problem. There's nothing to adjust so don't really understand why there should be a problem. The battery itself seems to be giving problems, turning all four led's flashing red - well before it should have run out of charge. This happens intermittently so wonder if the whole battery is a badly made non-genuine part? Is this likely to be a problem?
Thanks

How old is the battery, does the power cut out when the led's flash ?

If the latching doesn't work then a spring may have broken if it is used to actuate the catch/latch a cheap work around is to use a Velcro strap around the batter/frame to ensure it doesn't come out/off.
