Reviewer: Lolbees
Purchased From: The Electric Transport Shop (Camden)
Purchase Price:£850.00
Time Owned:2 months
Local Terrain: Flat
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Strengths:
Great design-looks good and turns heads
Strong Motor-pulls well
Folds well and can be wheeled along ground
Rugged/sturdy including decent tyres
Choice of using either pedal assist or throttle
easy to clean due to aluminium finish
Quick (ish) recharging time for battery top up
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Weaknesses:
A firm ride may not be to everyone's taste
Breaks have needed adjusting but easily tweaked
Due to the gear ratios, the maximum speed i have achieved on the flat is around 19 mph
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:
I bought this bike via the Cycle 2 Work scheme my employer had set up with Halfords. I had initially been waiting months for a Urban Mover UM24 despite being constamtly told it would be in soon by the manufacturer. After giving up, I went along to The Electric Transport Shop and was able to test the bike before purchase. They were most helpful and gave me good advice on what to look for.
I cycle to work and back each day in East London (11 mile sound trip) and charge the battery evey other day (just being cautious). I have been able to shave up to 5 minutes off my 30 minute journey when liberally using the throttle which is nice. I have done 420 miles so far. I wheel my bike into the lift and stays by my desk all day - no security worries !
Cycling this winter has been much easier and safer due to being able to get away from the lights much quicker.
I'm a very happy e-biker !
