I have a Greened CS2. It has a new battery 500 miles ago and has been working fine until today. There is no power assistance when you peddle, although the display reads correctly, but if you use the thumb throttle the motor powers up correctly at walking speed. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? Thanks.

Check if the pedal sensor (mounted on the cranks/crankshaft) has got knocked out of place or otherwise maladjusted, or the cable from it to the controls damaged.

Thanks, it looks ok and I can't see any problems with the wires or connections. The throttle works ok and the controller looks ok, the brake sensors are fine so I guess it is either the sensor or a wiring problem.

I have just tried changing the sensor and it didn't make any difference. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The connections look ok so not sure what the problem is. Does anyone have any suggestions what to try next?

Make sure the disc magnets are gapping the sensor by about 1mm, also make sure the disc is firmly in place. If you can turn the magnet disc by hand around the axle then it needs securing so that is can't do so.
