Hello I posted a couple of days ago with a greenacre cs2/16 I'd bought broken turned out the Pas wires had been butchered and put the wrong way round. So I changed them and all was well, so when I pedal it helps and when I stop it stops. So in the light my LCD display is not showing speed, although the display is working or I can change the assist level etc; 2 power delivery is jerky ie nothing then everything, but it's also fast I can't tell the speed but it's got to be 20mph+ in assist 5, it's rocketing; does the LCD screen have a way to turn speed display off and or limit the speed many thanks

Just to add the display is showing speed however it is moving between 0.2 and 0.6 mph is there a standard speed sensor anywhere or does the motor work it out

There is probably a speed sensor magnet on one of the wheels, that passes the sensor mounted on the bike. They may have got out of alignment.

Yeah I must admit I've had a good look for one but it's not obvious

It should pick the speed up from a sensor inside the motor. It's why the motor has a 9 pin connector instead of 8. Unfortunately, you have moulded connectors so it's difficult to test whether the sensor is working properly.

There are settings in the LCD for how and where it gets the speed signal from, but I'm not familiar with that particular one to say how they work.

Thank you I'll try reseating it; it's reading something so it might not be sitting correctly aside from that it's a new motor and or controller or fitting an external sensor on the original ; all works though and it's fast
